day 347: layout for Android Gingerbread’s illustration

So tempting to make a sticker out of its template.

day 345: my pc is fixed, now I can proceed to sketching the final poses.

day 338: last character for the Android OS series: IceCream Sandwich.

Her design’s inspired by combining winterwear and summerwear.
… And a scifi vespa.

This series ain’t over yet though since I’m gonna do proper full-color illustrations of them.

day 336: continuing my character designs based on the Android OS series, this is Honeycomb.

It would have been too easy (and confusing) to associate Honeycomb’s character with bees or honey. So backtracting that branch of my mind map, I associated Honeycomb with its hexagonal shapes. The hexagons associate with geomtery. The geometry inspires the character to be a well-organized, well-dressed computer scientist/entrepreneur.

Typing that last sentence, I realize Honeycomb may be subconsciously inspired by Dot from reBoot. XD Although I was looking up Janelle Monae for fashion inspiration. I don’t listen to her songs but her fashion sense is undeniably classy and funky.

day 314: For a series of character designs based on the Android OS’s. These are concept sketches for Android Froyo.

He’s based on the 11th Doctor. See the frozen yogurt kiosk TARDIS? XD

day 313: For a series of character designs based on the Android OS’s. These are concept sketches for Android Eclair.

His concept went from some poofy bard (who was supposed to have an electric lute) to some free-running kid with snazzy clothes and shoes. I might combine those two ideas.

day 315: For a series of character designs based on the Android OS’s. These are concept sketches for Android Gingerbread.

The basic idea is oven+gingerbread+candy robot. I still can’t decide on a design :/
